I love this picture. Medieval architecture and fantasy are some of my passions so I am really impressed with this. If I may ask a question (artist to artist), how do you go about creating your concept art? I am trying to do some of my own and I was wondering if you had any advice on how to draw towns and castles.
Hi Aqua! My advice is to look up lots of reference while you draw! Find pictures of buildings and castles you like and constantly refer to them while you're doing your concept. Study what makes the windows and roofs look cool. Also to make it fun for yourself, try to imagine if what you're drawing is a movie or a game. "what if the main character finds something in this barell?" "what if they're selling magic fruit in this market" That'll create some fun story details you can draw in. Finally, study perspective and lighting as that will sell your drawing and make it look good! Good luck!
Honestly just a beautiful piece. The details make it amazing, but what certainly helps is that I'm a huge fan of this architectural style. Really one of my favorite works that I've seen on this network.
It really catches the soul of what an RPG town should look like. It's amazing. I've been looking at this masterpiece for a couple of minutes now and the only things that come across my mind are words like 'marvelous, exceptional, brilliant'.
The street and the architecture, it all seems to be just waiting to come to life, it's almost moving. This dense atmosphere of adventures, the magic in the air... I'd say that I'm at loss of words, but seeing my blabbering right now, that would be a lie
